Jamaica ---

Post by givitsum » Thu Mar 08, 2007 3:40 pm

Just sitting under my palm tree listenin to Bob Marley on a beach in Jamaica at the mo'. The guy on Passin Gas who said I'd be consigned to the shed when her ladyship returned from Murrayfield should have been a soothsayer --- he got it right --- I thought we were together for life but it wasn't to be --- never an argument in the twelve years together but her 'friends' and family aren't comfortable with the age gap and it's told in the end.

Well I've had the sandstone mansion on the hill first time round --- the two hundred years old cottage by the brook second time round and with the big 65 arriving 21st March I don't really have the push to do it all again --- a move from my 5 star hotel to a shack under this palm tree would suit me fine till I get my act together. I bought a caravan just before I came out here with the intention of getting mobile till I decide what to do but have n't a clue what direction to go when I pick it up down near Cirencester next week.

I'm still at the tearful stage but at least I've stopped looking at the drop from my balcony on the 15th floor and wondering if it would hurt as much as what I'm going through now. Coming here wasn't the best idea I ever had as It's nearly all couples that go on holiday but for the sake of my sanity I just had to get away.

To say I didn't see this comin is the understatement of the decade. Like I said I've still got the shed short term but if anyone can offer me safe storage for my bike sumwhere in the north until I get myself sorted I would be interested.

Take care all ---

givit :tumble:

So sorry to hear this mate. Been there done it and got the T shirt it dos get better and at times like this you need your friends to lean on and looking at the replies there's enough to lean on and most of us are big enough to give support.

stay strong time is a great healer - take it from someone who knows

Mate, I can get your bike stored through either my brother or my Mum in Hull if that's any help. Let me know and I'll get talkng to them as soon as, but you'll need to sort delivery.
Chin up chap, at least no-one died, harken to the sad voice of experience.

Sorry to hear this Don, life just sometimes has a nasty way of biting you in the ass when you least expect it :( Friends are the important thing though, and most likely the thing that will get you through this.
