Scotfest!

Post by harris » Sun Apr 18, 2021 3:42 pm

Hi all, 5 of us from the West country are coming to Scotland instead of the Croatia eurofest. We will be leaving on the morning of the 29th may, first stop Carlisle. A hard punch of mainly motorway but it's gotta be done. We have booked digs at dunoon, Skye, fort William and Stirling. Leaving Scotland on the Friday with a stop on the way home around Penrith area I should imagine. If any one wants to join us that is our route and it won't change if things go to plan. The only thing that will STOP us going is the rules on room sharing and covid rules getting stricter. Any way feel free to join in for a night or two somewhere a long the way . Cheers all.

Looking forward to it now after last night's video call. Special thanks to Andy and his wife for sorting it all for us 👋👋

Hi Mick,

Be worth looking at taking the A75 west from Gretna Green to Dumfries on your way up and then taking the A76 from Dumfries North or even better is leaving the A75 at Crocketford taking the A712 then A713 to Ayr, 50 miles of glorious quiet Scottish biking 'A' roads Mate ;-)

Owing to the restrictions we have had to adjust room sharing in Scotland. So now we have fort William as a base for 3 days. More expensive for separate rooms of course but what the hell. So it's Sat night 29th in Carlisle, dunoon on Sunday I believe, then 3 night's fort William, one night Stirling then a stopover near the Midlands area. Feel free to meet up with us and have a beer or two. A hard punch from the south west on our first day but nothing we ain't done before!
