Just thinking out loud here......

How about having a marquee and our own bar at the AGM??

I would happily supply all the equipment needed for the bar and with Garys help ;-) he could do the install.

Tell me to shut up but why put money in someone elses till when it could go to the club.

Your thoughts??

Is there not a decent rally going on in wales around the time we want to do the AGM?

That way we could combine a wicked club weekend away, with others doing all the hard work of sorting bars, entertainment and somewhere to stick the tents. etc..... + I always find I get a bit bored during the dayat rallies when theres is not much happening, so AGM business could fill a fair sized hole in the Saturday.

This is quite a good place, on the edge of the Welsh border in the Marches. We've had an XS1100 owners do here. The only drawback is, the campsite is open to anyone at anytime, but the landlord/lady keeps clubs in their own patch of the site.
One to think about anyway.

Forgot to say, the XS1100 lads will be here again on the last bank holiday weeekend of May 2010.

Bit later than Friday but here we go.

Please put your suggestions on this thread and we can have a list for voting in January.

I'll get the Mods to copy across posts from Givits thread that are relevant.

I like Eoghan's idea of a bunkhouse

I'll second Eoghan on this one. I've stopped off here for a drink on my way to Hay-On-Wye. The owners are biker friendly and have had clubs there before. Accomodation is B&B, bunkhouse and camping, all reasonably priced. They have a decent sized room in the pub with pool table & dartboard. Well located for bimbling around the Brecons.
I've been trying to find the time to pitch there myself but probably won't make it 'til next spring now.

I too agree with Eggnog, it's a cracking part of the world round there as anyone who does the Elan run will testify.

Just remember, not everyone wants to camp or share a Bunkhouse with other people
so i think that local B&Bs/Hotels should be taken into consideration :)
