Eurofest - Chit Chat

Post by captain caveman » Thu Aug 30, 2007 9:25 pm

Right, this was put forward several months ago, can't remember who's idea it was but I know it was something Iceman was intending to look into. Has been suggested to me recently if it was going ahead.

So before I make any further enquiries I am looking for feedback on how many are likely to be interested.

The plan is that we have a rideout to France and meet up with Team XJR, for a joint weekend. Camping, bands all the usual. We could also invite other countries XJR clubs to make it a real Euro weekend.

I know that the French Team XJR are still interested, but this will only be worthwhile to do if we have a good crowd willing to go.

Possible dates in early May avoiding the BMF and bank holiday.

I dont have a lot of time to organise this so please let me know if you are interested asap and then I can get moving on it.

Intend to see what prices I can get for the crossing, a lot will depend on the best deal I can get.

CC :)

May 9th-12th would be fantatsic for me. Check with Eurotunnel as I think a night time train is a lot cheaper.

probably Dave - easier to arrange - nothing stopping you finding B'n'B once we know where we're holding this
