Vulcanet

Post by Pinky » Sat Jun 24, 2017 3:52 pm

It's not cheap, around £32 for 80 wipes, but I have now been using it on both bikes (XJR and Tenere) for a couple of months now and it works really well. For the holiday I have packed a few sheets in a zip top plastic bag(plus some kitchen towel or similar, in separate bag) as the bonus is, it's a really good hand cleaner as well. I rubbed my hand on the XJR's chain and Vulcanet cleaned the black lube off better than Swarfega.

Yes, quite pricey, but I have cleaned the XJR with 2 sheets, including the grease off the back wheel, chain guard, number plate and then gave the chain links sides a bit of polishing for less than the price of a snack stall tea (check the markup on those  ) It's not a replacement for getting mud and salt off with bucket and sponge, but when you just need to get the bugs, dust and grease off and leave a polished finish that helps make the next clean easier and cleans the grease off my hands, I think it's worth it. (I have no commercial intrest or other links with this product)
