Ok so I've done all the figuring out of how to build a kit "LIKE" this one on the cheap. (£140 to be exact).

All that's missing is the resevoir bottle and connection to oil filler cap. Which may not even be necessary? (I don't see it on some people's bikes, only on a few).

Anyways, without further ado:

Hose
Hose is 1m long "AN10" (14mm outer diameter)

Radiator/Cooler
13 Row, AN10 connections, Aluminium

Fittings
2x Straight AN10 connections - for sump
2x 90 degree AN10 connections - for cooler

Converters/Connectors
This is an unfortunate necessity - the standard XJR oil hoses don't have a regular connection, so we need to buy these, they bolt up the same way the OEM cooler does, but have an AN8 threading on the outside, instead of just being direct hoses to the cooler.
1x Pair of XJR Sump to AN8 connectors

This will take that AN8 threading to AN10, to be compatible with all the parts, connect directly to sump
AN8>AN10 converter

This SHOULD be all you need to switch to an aftermarket oil cooler. You'll have to make your own mid up on what to do with bracing the hoses, but I'd personally just use cable ties if you cut the hoses too long or something.

So the idea of flow is: Sump > AN8 connector > AN10 adapter > Straight AN10 fitting > Hose up to cooler > 90 degree AN10 connector > Cooler > <<Reverse (Connected to the other side of the cooler, obviously!).

I'll let you know once I've got £140 spare to try this out for myself!

the bottle on the side has nothing to do with the oil cooler ,its a catchment tank, when you fit a window clutch cover as they have no baffles inside to stop the oil being thrown out the breather pipe ,,,
