Vinegar, its the future

Post by Ricardo » Mon May 18, 2009 9:17 pm

Following a conversation with Trotters and Smokin Taz at Ironbridge Sunday before last reference a posting from Gary about vinegar and its ability to remove rust I decide to give it a go on my collector box, at 13p for half a litre whats to lose and here are the results. The box was in quite a bad way in fact when I removed the left hand can the pipe sheared off so I had to weld in a new section

Add bonus, because it was completly submerged the inside gets a decoke creating loads more BHP honest. 10 bottles of vinegar, £1.30 result :D

I was going to say your flogging a dead horse with the standard one...it will keep you on the road a little longer but invest in a stainless and you won't have to do that every other month :D ;-)

Nice job by the way
